“Firstly, the hotel was FAB! As you know, I was a bit concerned about the room situation and whether we would be a bit tight on space. Let me tell you- we weren’t! The Clayton gave us two huge suites which were side-by-side and had more than enough beds (and more importantly, mirrors!).” The Clayton Hotel Sligo is situated in the idyllic setting of the west coast of Ireland, overlooked by the magnificent Benbulben mountain, only 2 and a half hours from Dublin. “The food for dinner was gorgeous and had plenty of choice AND the service from both the reception and the restaurant staff was 100%. There were more than a few sick heads the next morning for breakfast but that was amazing too!”

The Garavogue Bar is Sligo’s Number One Entertainment Destination, situated along the picturesque banks of the Garavogue River in the Heart of Sligo Town where you will find people outside when the sun is shining sipping on one of our Cocktails or tasting one of our many Craft Beers available.

“We booked a reserved seating area with you at the Garavogue with food (nachos and pizza), it was more than we could have asked for! The sun was out so we sat outside and played games with the Hen. We were looked after by a lovely member of your staff (I can’t remember his name, quite a good looking guy- he will remember us, we were in Disney theme!). He looked after us from start to finish, nothing was too much to ask (even posing for pictures- HA!.. poor guy!)”.

At night the Garavogue bar has it all with Live Music followed by Dj’s 7 nights a week and is renowned as the go to destination for Hens and Stags and local parties alike.

“ The Cube was a great hit with the girls, it got very competitive! Sean was a great host, even though by that stage we were very loud and a bit tipsy! ”

The games are based on challenges performed on TV’s, “The Cube” but with the exciting twist that they are played on a head to head or multiplayer basis where each player has 2 attempts at five timed challenges.

Speakeasies were illegal bars that sold alcohol and were hidden away from prying eyes, speakeasies were also called The Blind Tiger. The Blind Tiger has been designed so that it can transform from an innocent looking café during the day to a den of iniquity where cocktails are flamed, smoked, consumed and savoured. A number of our drinks were inspired by the prohibition era.

“The Blind Tiger was probably the highlight for us. Again, the staff were so good, free shots and bubbly and the DJ played anything we asked for (Spice Girls!). We went back next door then and danced our little socks off upstairs at the reserved seating area and had MORE BUBBLES! ”

You may be wondering where we got the concept for such a unique name as The Blind Tiger, let me tell you a story: The Prohibition era (prohibition was the legal prevention of the manufacture, sale and transportation of alcoholic beverages in the United States from 1920 to 1933 under the Eighteenth Amendment) brought about the opening of speakeasies across America.
